Broken Inside was made as part of a module called the journeyman Project, in which 10 teams of 20, comprised of students from the Indie Game, Game Design and Game Art courses, were put together to make a game. The only restriction we were given was that the game must be based on either Inside or Diablo. Our team created this game based on Inside. I was responsible for all of the level design and composition, which was one continuous level broken up by multiple puzzle sections. I also handled the lighting and fog in the level, and edited the gameplay walkthrough trailer. For this project our team presented the game to industry representatives and were chosen as the best game, due to a strong theme, subject matter and great level and visual direction that reflected the atmosphere intended.
